A Nashville Country Christmas at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel
Nashville knows how to celebrate the holidays! If you’re looking for a traditional celebration with flare, you need to come to Music City and stay at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. At Sweet Magnolia Tours, we’ve put together the ultimate holiday package that includes accommodation at one of the largest and grand hotels in the city. The Gaylord Opryland Hotel has a lot to offer their guest this Christmas with events, shows, and live music.
Five Nights at Gaylord Hotels
The Opryland Hotel opened Thanksgiving in 1977 with quite the celebration! Guests were introduced to the beautiful ballroom and over 500 hotel rooms. Initially, the construct of the hotel was next to Opryland USA, an amusement park that eventually closed in 1997. While the amusement park didn’t last, the hotel lived on gaining a lot of popularity. Over the next twenty years, the hotel would add over 1,200 rooms and expand their lot with an additional 6.5 acres. The Opryland Hotel delivered the ultimate guest experience. With beautiful interior decor and ideally located near downtown Nashville, it’s no wonder they had to expand further.
The hotel wanted to give each guest the ultimate experience and took it upon themselves to make other additions adding a garden conservatory with over 10,000 plant varieties, restaurants, golf course, pool, and shops. Today, visitors to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel receive a luxurious experience at a picturesque resort. During the holiday season, the hotel transforms the inside and outside into a light extravaganza. Millions of holiday lights are decorated across the landscape. Families can enjoy the holiday decorations and get their picture taken with Santa!
Tickets to ICE! at Gaylord Hotels
Every year, a group of artists makes their way to Nashville for one of the most spectacular events of the year! Constructed from two million pounds of ice, carvers spend hours each day to transform ice into the most fantastic sculptures. Every year ICE! Hosts a new theme, and for 2019, Gaylord Hotels will be bringing you the Christmas classic, A Christmas Story. Guests can wander through the interactive ice sculptures and displays. You’ll see Ralphie and the whole Parker family. It’s a limited event, so make sure you contact us at Sweet Magnolia Tours to purchase your Nashville Country Christmas package today.
Christmas at the Ryman with Vince Gill & Amy Grant
Nashville wouldn’t be called Music City if it didn’t celebrate the holiday season with the most wonderful holiday concerts! For the past few years, Amy Grant and Vince Gill have been performing their Christmas at the Ryman show to sold-out audiences. Amy Grant said in a statement to the Tennesseean, “I’ve always loved Christmas music, and I’ve toured the country singing it for years. But, there’s nothing sweeter than coming home to the Ryman Auditorium each holiday season to join Vince on this legendary stage, making even more music and memories with old friends and new.” The event is a celebration of things unchanged and features the couple covering some of your favorite holiday songs.
A Trace Adkins Christmas
Considered one of the best holiday dinner shows to celebrate the season, A Trace Adkins Christmas is hosted at the Gaylord Opry where guests are treated to music and dinner! Adkins will treat guests to Christmas classics, Celtic classics, and a few new tunes to get you into the holiday spirit. Accompanying the show is dinner by renowned Gaylord Opry chefs who will put together a fantastic menu featuring items such as mushroom truffle bisque, French cut chicken breast with cranberry cornbread stuffing, and black forest chocolate custard.
