Memphis Vacation Package

Perched above the Mississippi River, Memphis welcomes visitors to celebrate the city that gave the world blues, soul, and rock 'n' roll, as well as to chow down in the unrivaled barbecue capital of the nation. If it's the Elvis connection that draws you here, you won't leave disappointed. But even the King represents just one small part of the rich musical heritage of the home of Sun and Stax studios. The fabled blues corridor of Beale Street is booming like never before, while the Rock'n'Soul Museum, Gibson Guitar Plant and Stax Museum keep true to the city's musical heritage. Then there is Graceland – a refreshing change from the usual "gracious southern home" – which provides an intimate glimpse of the city's most famous son.

Land of the Kings Vacation Holiday

Tennessee & Mississippi 10 Days & 9 Nights For millions around the world Memphis and Mississippi first and foremost mean music. The Blues were born in the Mississippi Delta combining traditional African rhythms with the soulful cries of the sharecroppers as they toiled in the scorched fields. If Mississippi was the birthplace of the Blues, Memphis became home to the music as aspiring musicians headed north on Highway 61 to perform their music on Beale Street. One of them traded his first name Riley for "The Beale Street Blues Boy" and today B.B. King still has a club on the lively street, which is now the premier entertainment district of the entire South.
